Raymond H. Hanson

Ph.D., Founder and Education Director

Ray is a cognitive psychologist with both academic and real world experience. His doctorate researched semantic processing and models of comprehension which are central to the issues in learning and knowledge acquisition. Additional research with challenged readers, attention and performance directly support our approach in achieving significant changes and lasting results for our students. Ray teaches most of our advanced mathematics and sciences and those sections of SAT and ACT preparation.

His expertise regards both knowing and the how-to-know, and benefits our students in both performance and skill development. Ray works on a constant evolution of our program framework and implementation; what is already effective improves each day. Ray leads our learning coaches in regular meetings to discuss each student’s progress, our techniques, tools and materials, and the input and feedback of our clients and parents.
